Aunt Rita's Everlasting Paradise
Rita Marlayne also known as “Aunt Rita” wrote and sang on her debut album 43 years ago. Neoclassick turned her masterpiece into a streamable album. Aunt Rita sings of being a single woman, being in a loveless relationship, and being a good God-fearing woman. “Satan’s Sorrow” , the first song on the album, is catchy and powerful. Immediately you are transported into a feeling of overcoming the devil’s temptations and knowing redemption is possible. This Indie Rock album titled “Everlasting Paradise” transcends time and space by bringing you into her world. Tales of the past still relevant to today. An honest and heartfelt account of her true experiences. Her voice is smooth and captivating really bringing the album together. Aunt Rita comes from a musical theatre background and that is felt all throughout the album. There are no drums on the whole album which is mostly unheard of especially for that time back in 1983 when her album was created. Aunt Rita truly was ahead of her time, a trend setter in indie music. She has been compared to Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, and Reba McEntyre. Tee Kae, Rita’s nephew, sampled Help Me Lord on one of his songs that will be featured under the unreleased songs available only on Patreon!
